When we booked our 2nd trip to Canada North Lodge, we had no idea that trip two could be any better than our 1st visit. We were in for a surprise! The accommodations, quality of food, service, guides and even the bus ride were just as great and pleasurable as our 1st trip, but it was the quality and quantity of fish caught that just blew our minds!

During our 4 days of fishing we caught 132 walleye and 32 northern pike. Seven of the pike ranged from 31" to 42" in length. Within two hours one morning we caught 3 northern pikes measuring 40", 41" and 42" while fishing on one of the many beautiful portage lakes.

Do we plan to go back? You bet! We can hardly wait!

I have visited Canada North Lodge a couple of times now. Once my wife and I went to the outpost for a week. We had a great time. We spent some very quite time and great fishing together. That many days of fishing without interruption was incredible. Unfortunately, it was so quite, we missed our kids and had to leave a day early. As for the vacation time, it was unbeatable. Mike and Julie are top notch and their hard work has been blessed with a great lodge and a great team to make our vacation a memorable one.

Another trip I went their with my family of 5. My boys were 3, 7, and 11. They all had a great time. My wife and I fished in our boat with my 3 year old. While Bob, one of the guides, catered to every need of my 7 and 11 year old. Our whole family voted that trip the best vacation ever. We can't wait to do it again. The memories that we have to share from that trip bring us so much joy. It was absolutely AWESOME!... They all talk of going back. We have a change jar now, that all change left on the counter is collected and goes to that fund. The Canada Fund. P.S. They also learned that fishing in Canada is nothing like fishing in Illinois.

Then on another hunting trip, I went with my buddy Louis Robbins. We hunted black bear. What some would consider work, we enjoyed. We were able to go on all the baiting trips to see the sites that were hit with our own eyes. We had a great time and enjoyed the experience totally. Louis got his bear with a bow and I got mine with a muzzle loader 50 cal. I caught a trophy northern pike too. The food and staff are top notch here. This is something that I would do again and again. This lodge is a wonderland.

Mike & Julie - Enclosed are some of the pictures that we took on our last visit. Once again you provided an unforgettable trip. The entire group had a great time and plans to return in June. The problem now is we have more people who want to go when we go. We may just have to fill the lodge with our friends and family. I have been going to Canada North Lodge for almost 15 years now. When I think of fishing Canada, I think of Canada North Lodge. I think of the great shore lunches, the great food at camp, the personalized service, oh! And the great fishing. When I go to Canada North Lodge I gain weight; sleep the best I have in a long while, and catch fish so much it spoils you. Dear Mike and Julie: Memorable-Fantastic-Super-and any other adjectives that are befitting to a wonderful 4 day fishing experience. This unforgettable trip was enhanced by your competent staff of guides, waitresses, cabin girls, cook and kitchen aides. Guides were knowledgeable with respect to the many lakes and were diligent in their efforts to locate fish and worked hard on the 2 portages we were treated to. The dining room waitresses responded politely to our every request, and made dining a pleasure. The family style meals prepared by the cooks were plentiful and sumptuous. We appreciated our catch being properly fileted, individually wrapped, and species identified and frozen, ready to take home. Fishing was g-r-r-r-eat! I caught the largest fish of my life. My son caught the largest fish of his life; the other son caught the most fish of his life. The 10 year old grandson enjoyed catching fish and a huge 31" Northern. This trip will be remembered by Spencer all of his life. What a bonding family occasion this was! We just wanted to send you a picture of the big walleye I caught on July 17 while, staying at your fishing camp. That was quite a thrill and the highlight of the trip for us. Waldo (I always give my big fish a name) weighed in at approximately 9 ½ pounds and was 30 ½ inches long! Thank you again for your hospitality while we were in Canada. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed meeting and visiting with the other guests and the employees. We’ve only been home a week and we’re ready to come back.
