Want to know more about fishing Canada walleye?

A Day at Canada North Lodge

Each day at begins in the Canada lodge dining room. Your reserved table is prepared with coffee, a hearty breakfast, and good service.

After breakfast, it's down to the dock to meet your fishing guide for a full day of fish-in fun. All you need are rod & reel, tackle, gear, and refreshments for the day.

Your designated fishing boat is clean & ready. We utilize full size 16' aluminum boats, powered with 25 hp Johnson motors, and equipped with comfortable swivel bass boat seats and depth finders. Each fishing boat is furnished with fishing net, paddles, minnow bucket, ice and cooler, and CSA approved life vests. A shore lunch box is packed with all the necessities for a delicious shore lunch of freshly caught fish filets.

The service of a guide is available for all of our guests. Their guiding and outdoor skills are top notch, their courtesy and friendliness is unsurpassed. Their knowledge of the fishery and lakes will compliment your fishing trip. When cooking your shore lunch, you'll praise their talent for weeks to come.

Once on the lake, you'll experience the beauty and extensiveness of the Woman River Chain of Lakes that consists of eight  interconnected Canadian lakes & 50 miles of navigable water without stop. Each point, island, reefs, narrow or waterfall leaves the mind in a state of frenzied 'fish-in' fever. The lakes are long and narrow, and abound with Walleye, Northern Pike, and Lake Trout. Depths vary from shallow to 130', depending upon the lake and structure. Truly a fisherman's dream come true.

Then for the adventuresome, add ten portage lakes to the fishing opportunities available. The portage fishing trips are short, (1/4 mile or less), boats and motors are on site, all you need is your gear. All portage lakes are scheduled daily at the lodge. We ensure fair distribution to all guests for at least one trip per guest at no additional cost.

At Canada North Lodge, we offer unlimited quality angling opportunities on our chain of lakes, portage lakes, and fly-in trips. You can do it all in one trip. Our daily fly-in trips depart after breakfast and arrive back in time for dinner. We will select a remote Ontario lake where the fishing is unbelievable and your day will be filled with memories and fish stories even the barber won't believe. The float plane trip, aerial scenery, and the number of fish caught will make the fly-in trip a choice you won't regret or forget.

Everyone always asks about the BIG trophy fish. Yes, we have trophy fish and lots of them, Walleyes up to 9#, Northern's up to 25#, & Lake Trout up to 22#. But, don't forget the smaller fish, which are caught most frequently, add a tremendous amount of excitement to each day of fishing.

If you have been looking for an area where you are not confined to one lake, where you have rivers connecting lakes, where you can fish on the windiest of days, where there is a good selection of species, you need look no further. The Woman River Chain of Lakes offer the best in Canadian Angling.

At the end of the day you will return to the lodge where a deluxe, big dinner, awaits you with all the trimmings. After dinner you can relax, play cards, play pool, watch a movie, or go back out fishing. Most people just plain relax as the day has taken its course. A good way to end a day.

CNL is a friendly Ontario lodge for people who are special, and special people deserve special treatment. Many of our guests, now old friends, come back year after year. Why? We feel it is the good fishing, the beautiful scenery, the lure of the north country, and of course the top notch accommodations and service we provide.

We invite you to become part of this growing list of happy fishermen. . .give us a try. . . Let's go Fish-in'.
